Water Quality Monitoring
Water quality is the physical, chemical and biological condition of water and water quality monitoring defines the processes and activities that are needed to characterize and monitor the quality of water to achieve the set standard. The standard of the quality of water relates to the safe drinking water, safe for human contact and for the healthy ecosystem. The system for measuring the water quality includes sampling different water quality parameters viz. the pH value, BOD (biological oxygen demand), dissolved oxygen, temperature, conductivity, turbidity, discharge measurements etc. Various sensors installed at different sites measure all the water quality and quantity parameters. These readings are logged into the online web based server and eventually can be remotely monitored.
